Salt

Salt regulates all of the fluids in the horse's body.  It conducts the electrical impulses of the muscles and nerves.   Salt is the most important electrolyte, which refers to a mineral lost in sweat and urine.  As such, it should be increased when a horse is exercising hard.  Luckily, horses that are provided with salt in the form of a block or lick will almost always ingest the amount that they need.

Customer Testimonials:

We phoned early this year [to place an order] because it's the best hay we have had in years.

Lynn M.

Great hay!  I have recommended you to all my friends.

Jodie J.

We have purchased a lot of hay in the past thirty years and this is the best hay we have ever purchased. The consistency from the first bale to the last was the same and we didn’t have one bad bale in the stack. We found Jan and Norm to have integrity and take a great deal of pride in selling a quality product.

Linda & Larry R.

The hay smelled and looked so good, I tasted it!  This is really the best of the best!
